Santa Ynez Valley Airport KIZA Pilot Reviews

January 22, 2024Visited with two other aircraft. Plenty of transient parking available. The personnel there were very helpful with directions to town for a meal. It’s a short walk, but the dirt path down to the street level is steep. Take the crew car if it’s wet or if any of your companions are unsteady on their feet. The town is small and quaint, offering plenty of food options and shops. It’s an enjoyable stop and worth visiting again.

August 9, 2023Very friendly staff at the office. Cold beverages are available with a small honor system donation. There are 2 crew cars available with a donation to the non profit organization. The rate was $20 for 2 hours. We checked and it would have been more expensive to use Lyft. Plus the donation is tax deductible too. There is also a lounge/conference area that is available for use if you need it.

January 6, 2023Landed 4 days ago and got a flat tire, not very helpful people. They were very mad I got a flat tire and were saying I ruined their day! I would never treat a person with disrespect, especially with a flat tire. They didn’t have any recommendations on mechanics and said figure it out your self. Airport manager kept complaining he had to close his runway. He also suggested to go off the runway so the runway would stay open. Manager also argued about the traffic pattern and that doing an approach in was not a good idea. We were IFR and did the RNAV for 08. Completely legal and there were no aircraft in the pattern. I will not recommend this place for their service.

October 3, 2022Quick stop today, used the restroom and back on my way since WX was creeping in. Real nice people at the FBO with crew car. Taxi service in the area, and Uber/Lyft is hit or miss. Transient parking is EAST of the self serve fuel island with T spaces marked in white.

August 17, 2022Such a nice airport! Bathrooms are open again. Service was helpful and friendly. Transient parking has moved. Look for blue painted markings on the ramp.
