Amazing FBO, the team is on top of their game. Closed on Sundays, but fuel and ramp access is available 24/7.

This is a wonderful small airport right in the middle of the apple capital of the world. Unfortunately, there is no crew car available. Not an older, worn-out police cruiser or even a poor quality airport work truck. Absolutely nothing. The single person we managed to reach for transport charged thirty dollars to travel two miles and he waited for us for half an hour at the apple barns. Panorama and Penland’s are excellent apple barns for plenty of apple cider, apple fritters, and other sugary delights. There is only one other person who uses Uber and Lyft but he is not dependable. Maybe he will be working and take you out, and then you will call him and he will not pick up his phone for your return. We actually had to walk for a ride back to the airport one time. Be sure you have ground transport arranged before arriving here and spending your funds at the local stores and eateries.

The most horrible experience. This FBO sucks; if you land after 6 pm (God forbid) you are in for a treat. We landed around 6:30 on a Friday about a month ago. The FBO was closed, no one answered the phones, there was no one at the airport, there were no Ubers, taxis, Lyft, nothing. I was basically stranded for almost 4 hours with my wife, 2 young daughters, and our pilot; we didn’t know what to do. There was also very poor phone reception so we had a very hard time even making phone calls. The local Enterprise is the worst I’ve ever experienced. They were supposed to leave the car at the airport for me to have transportation, and they simply didn’t do it. Basically I had the same experience than the gentleman in the previous comment made, except that I wasn’t lucky enough to get a hold of anyone. After about 4 hours waiting for someone to help us, we decided to call 911 to have the police come and get us. It was a horrible experience. I’ll never fly to this airport ever again, and I suggest you don’t either. On the positive side, Ellijay and Blue Ridge are absolutely beautiful.
