Seymour Johnson closed today, which made approach from the north easier. Office doors allow easy access to the bathrooms. Everything is clean. Been here before and will come again in the future because it is no-nonsense self-service with not many aircraft to maneuver around.

Stopped by W40 twice in last week. First time was a Sunday. The old brown FBO building is now a trauma-hawk base. They have bathrooms for transient pax, but otherwise they control the building (no coffee or galley). Disappointed in this experience. Came back thru on Friday afternoon and completely different experience with new FBO open during biz hours. Excellent facility, people and fuel prices….not to mention the best FBO snacks ever (oatmeal cream pies)! Will be back. Best stop from South Florida to New England routes. Only piece missing is weather on ForeFlight.
