Landed 6/7/2024 and taxied over to the fuel pumps in our Mooney. We were greeted right away and offered fresh cookies and they pumped the gas for us! Cool airport to stop for lunch and fuel.

This FBO refuses to sell fuel to any aircraft affiliated with the U.S. military. We were told by the owner, Bob, that he would not fuel our U.S. Navy owned aircraft due to a COVID vaccine mandate from our Commander in Chief. We made the flight from PAJN to PANC without the safety of an alternate fuel stop at PAYA. This is contrary to best safety practices.

Wife says can’t stop there again because porta potty was so disgusting. Must go to Juneau and pay $4.00 more per gallon.

Bob and Teen at Yakutat Aviation are the nicest people. We had called ahead on our first visit and they came right out to fuel us (and offered homemade cookies!). Then when we came back a week later (having not called ahead), they heard us on the radio, recognized us from the prior visit, asked if we needed fuel and came out with cookies again. It’s worth a stop just to meet them. Thank you!

Flew in twice in the past month for fuel, enroute to and from Barrow. Like others, we were met upon shutdown with both a fuel truck, and Tine… a very nice lady originally from Australia who offered us delicious fresh baked cookies. Tine promptly took our payment for fuel on the ramp, and the service could not have been better in any way. The restaurant is open until 2 pm and is just a few steps away from where we parked. Modern clean bathrooms and free WI-FI. Halibut was amazing! I’ll be back!
