Do not top off fuel at Atlantic in Ketchikan if there is a possibility you will need a fuel stop in Sitka on your route to Anchorage. Atlantic in Sitka imposes a $401 facility charge in addition to $9.75 per gallon for Jet A if you do not meet the 116 gallon minimum. Also, remember the $45 security fee—whatever that covers. Facility fee is forty dollars with fuel purchase, eleven dollars security fee, eleven dollars per gallon for fuel, and a one hundred dollar callout fee applies after 7pm even though personnel were already present. Staff seemed disorganized, confused about proper parking location, and they actually called me back to the airport to reposition the airplane. They were not exactly friendly about the situation even though staff had previously confirmed it was acceptable to park on the ramp.
