Lost alternator so diverted to Susanville CA. Friendly FBO helped remove the cowling & troubleshoot. Waiting for the new alternator to be overnighted, FBO gave us use of a Crown Vic which held our bikes, & recommended the Bizz Johnson rail to trail, complete with tunnels, which was amazing. They also recommended hotels and restaurants. FBO called at 9 AM while we were hiking in the local Ranch Park to say the alternator had arrived. Installed it and off again. No self serve, only a fuel truck option. So dont arrive too late. That said, the guys there are great. They recommended a motel, a restaurant, and loaned me a courtesy car for the night. Very helpful, highly recommend.

Stopped in again. Tiedowns with chains available. No overnight parking fee if you purchase fuel. Friendly service. Get the gate code if you need access to your plane before or after hours. Crew car is available.

Called ahead a few days to arrange for an oil change on a long trip. They worked me into their schedule. They are quite often at the FBO early or after hours. Very friendly and helpful. Fuel is only available by truck. Call ahead and talk to Steve if you might arrive before or after hours.

Called ahead that I was inbound and Steve said he would wait for me arriving after 5 pm. He had a courtesy car warmed up and made arrangements for a hotel stay. Can’t say enough with the hospitality I received—Thank you for making my overnight great. Another hidden gem maybe off the beaten path. Well worth the stop.
