University of Central Missouri Skyhaven Airport KRCM Pilot Reviews

Reference skyhaven-pilots.com. This University FBO does not seem to care about GA, focusing only on their flight school program. Expect slow or nonexistent fuel service, and it is overpriced. They never have jet fuel. No ropes provided for tie downs. No crew car available. Not recommended for any general aviation pilot.

Fastest fuel stop I have ever experienced. The fuel truck arrived before we were even chocked in. There is a new terminal building - quite impressive, featuring a pilot shower and everything. They are still working on getting internet access available for those not enrolled in the flight school.

Landed today to pick up a passenger and head back out quickly. Son and Hannah had the fuel truck there before I cut the engine! They gave me a ride to and from the FBO and were kind and helpful. I enjoyed hearing about the new terminal being built. Makes sense, seems like a thriving university program using the field. Pleasant stop, I will be back!

Fuel prices are about average at this location. The line crew is very helpful and eager to assist you. The only issue is that they are not really set up for the general public. The “office” is just a small shack, and one of the staff members had to walk me over to the restrooms. I suspect we might have gotten turned around otherwise. This airport is owned and operated by the University. I would estimate that ninety percent of their business comes from the University.

Airport manager was unable to tell me when my aircraft would be fueled. The airport manager did not seem to know anything about the airport he was managing. There were no tie downs provided. It took over 3 hours to get my aircraft fueled. The line service crew is extremely helpful but have poor leadership.
