Flew into KPSX this morning and on final approach to runway 18 workers pulling hay bale just crossing the runway and almost had to abort the landing. Had a hard time with the fuel machine as it was very hard to see the screen; it was very faded and quite difficult to read. Used the courtesy car and drove into town to get a bite to eat. Had trouble locating the car key but called the airport manager listed on the desk. Will be returning and hope they acquire a new screen for the fuel pump.

Fuel availability was unreliable.

Flew in here on a Saturday 7.16.22 just to look for a restaurant and look around town for seafood. No was gas available but the office did have good AC and bathrooms. Crew car was a big help in getting around. Crew car had good AC as well. Can’t say I’d recommend any restaurant there but I’ll be back to look for fresh fish and shrimp another time. Interesting airplane not all runways get weed killer. Surprising since most runways and taxiways are good wide concrete. Lotta towns would love to have runways this good. I taxied around quite a bit and they were all smooth and level - just a lot of grass growing in the cracks. Maintenance must cost too much for city/county.
