Enjoyed my return flight here today with a new pilot friend. Spoke with Neil (airport) on the phone a couple times and he greeted us today, too. Very personable and helpful, and Thank you for the crew car. Took off on runway 30 and it's a bit bumpy and has cracks. Recommend 8/26 which we landed on. The reported in-op VASI on runway 26 was working fine.

Does not seem like a bad airport! Only issue was the 24hr self service was not actually 24hr self service... flew down with a buddy at 11pm to find no lights on the ramp to indicate where to proceed. Finally flashed the landing light at the self serve sign, and when we pulled up the pump would not dispense fuel after following the instructions. Could have just been an off night for fuel, but the ramp definitely needs some floodlights given how damaged some sections of the cement appear.
