Wilkes County BOC KIIY Pilot Reviews

October 3, 2024Was headed down to Space Coast when weather started closing in. It was a federal holiday so nobody was around, but it proved to be a great and easy stop. Quick and simple self service; the FBO was accessed using the CTAF code. The FBO facility was clean, had good AC, a nice bathroom, a planning computer, and offered snacks and water. Filed IFR out of this location and the clearance phone number was fast and straightforward. A great little stop!

December 10, 2023New self serve fuel farm works really well. You must read the instructions and wait for fuel pressure to increase before pumping. Receipts print out fine. FBO was recently taken over by new management and it's clean with complimentary bottled waters and snacks. Definitely stop by if looking for inexpensive fuel.

March 12, 2023Stopped in late 2/13/23. Pump functioned well. Card reader is visible now. Receipt printed fine. Use Unicom freq to gain access to use the restrooms. They had some snacks and bottled waters available on an honor system. Solid stop.

June 26, 2021Card reader on SS fuel pump does not work well. The LED on the card reader is also very difficult to read. Bathrooms all locked down tight with no code to open them. Fuel is $.50 higher than advertised. Seems like a nice place but I wouldn't come by much past 4 pm.
