Quite the experience flying into this airport. Crew car was available, maybe a 20 minute drive to the nearest town with several options for a good lunch. (There is also a spa if you are interested). Staff seemed quite relaxed. The FBO was somewhat quiet since a new one is being built, scheduled for opening in April 26.

Great folks that really want to share the history of the area and airport. Crew car was in for repair, look forward to coming back to explore the area.

Flew in on a Saturday afternoon and was greeted by Mack. He gave me a superb history of the airport and surrounding areas. Bought a shirt with the plan to return. Excellent airfield and a wonderful staff member in Mack.

First mountain top landing, at the highest public airport east of the Mississippi. Be ready for some strong wind but the views are the best. Cannot say enough about the warm greeting and generosity of Mack!

Quick flight in today and a wonderful place to visit, airport dog was a nice surprise. The crew car was made available so we could visit the homestead for lunch. Looking forward to visiting again—thanks.

We flew in yesterday on a beautiful fall morning. A bit windy but clear. The FBO is nice and Parke is a terrific manager. Tied up our ac and let us have use of the crew car to visit some family in Covington. Homestead renovations are going to be amazing. Fuel is $$ but highly recommend.
