Lesson learned - always test the reentry gate code before leaving the airport! I returned 05:00 the next morning only to find that the gate code buttons are broken. I called the after hours number and they did respond to let me know that there is another box on the inside and that you have to reach through the gate to use it. It's one of those things that seems obvious once you see it, but I was so focused on trying to make the outside box work that I never thought to look for an inside box.

Very helpful when we landed in a wind. No courtesy car, but the taxi office shares a building with the FBO. However, they would not give us a door code so we could depart before opening at 7:00, claiming it had been non-functional all year! But any taxi driver could grant access after hours. Odd. Very odd.

Flew into Gallup for a weekend fly-in with 17 airplanes. The line crew was ready for everyone, and they had us parked and fueled fast. Excellent service!

Thank You, KT Aero, for your superb service in supporting the high traffic activity for the Navajo Christmas Airlift. Clearly was unusual traffic activity over the three days in delivering donations, which you kindly collected for SWIF, in addition to your 'real' responsibilities on the Ramp, Fueling, Admin, etc. Thank You team for your role in helping to make the Airlift a success for the Navajo Nation !!

Self serve fuel was simple enough, only one lineman present, very little assistance offered, and no courtesy car available. A local pilot provided us transport to the hotel and returned us the following morning, plus assisted in getting the aircraft out of the hangar…. Had it not been for the local assistance (a big thank you to GM), we might have been stranded…
