They charge a 3% "convenience fee" for using a credit card. Quite cheap behavior. I am not sure I have seen that at any other FBO. Next time I will make sure to bring my cash for fuel purchase.

They have a rule requiring a 10 gallon minimum when using the fuel truck for refueling by the linemen. I only required 3 gallons before my departure, yet they billed me for an additional 7 gallons. I paid almost $70 total for just 3 gallons. I inquired if I could take the extra 7 gallons after my flight, but they declined, stating the 10-gallon minimum covers the cost associated with the linemen bringing the truck out. Extremely questionable practice—I was completely unaware of this policy.

Very inconsistent with having fuel or the self-serve machine working.

Friendly staff and waived $80 landing fee with 50 gallons. Nice popular restaurant and the courtesy car was a small Hyundai for eating further afield. About a 10-15 minute drive to the Shady Oak metro station.

Very nice airport. The restaurant is open early. It is also open on Mondays when many places typically close. Superb for all meals and has a patio for viewing. Very friendly staff. Fuel services are responsive to both radio and mobile calls. Pattern traffic can be busy with training flights (but the SRFA typically means training flights go to other places for pattern work) so vigilance is paramount. This airport affords access to U of MD, DC, Baltimore without the Class B issues upon landing.
