Stopped here on our way to Oshkosh. Ryan the Manager was awesome; he really did treat us like family. He helped us get fuel, put our plane in his hangar, and let us use the crew car overnight. Good fuel prices and definitely is recommended for anybody flying through needing a stop.

Ryan, the airport manager, is an experienced pilot who flies a King Air 350 out of DNS. When we arrived he helped us fuel our King Air 200. Then he put our plane in a hangar - no charge for hangar because of our fuel purchase. Ryan also let us use the crew car overnight. Denison is the home town of Donna Reed - star of It's A Wonderful Life. A little museum is downtown, but is now closed. The windows on the museum have some pictures from Ms. Reed's life. We stayed at the Cobblestone Inn.

Although my wife and I arrived on Friday after the FBO was closed, I had called ahead, and the attendant (city employee) thoughtfully left the courtesy car keys for me to pick up. Even though we didn't spend any time in the FBO, itself, the facility looked clean and well organized. And, even though I never did meet any city staff (closed on the weekend.), the attendant maintained communication with me through text messages – worked out very well!
