Went over there for a project, met new friends and FBO staff were nice enough to help us start our engine when we had troubles

Arrived in the evening when I thought the FBO would still be open but just missed closing. Could get inside the FBO for a break but was unable to exit the airport property that way. Gave the number a call and he easily talked me through picking up the courtesy van from the tarmac. Was allowed to keep it overnight with no issue. Simple early morning fuel stop and departure. Very nice people!

Guess they dont really open at 7AM,

Planned on getting gas. Sunday! Descending when received a call from another pilot saying "I just tried. No one there. No answer on the after hours number. No self-serve pump so no gas available. Try Grant Co. 30 nm NW. Strong direct crosswinds but has fuel." I did appreciate the info, diverted and fueled. Lesson learned--hours info is nice but not authoritative. Call before highly advised. KDMN is great--when open!
