Superb little airport! The current airport manager has done much to improve the public areas and make it a pleasant stop. The updated pilots lounge offers snacks, drinks, and even provisions for your canine copilot! The picnic table and fire pit outdoors is a welcome addition as well. You can even take your clubs and enjoy the 9-hole course just off the end of runway 33! If you are seeking a fresh airport for an adventure, Choteau is an ideal place to land.

Stopped here 2 years ago on my way to Canada. Harold who ran the aircraft maintenance shop let me stay in the old FBO adjacent. He gave me the keys to a very old courtesy car. The next morning we had a long conversation about the airport history &also his stories of his growing up in the Choteau area. He had pictures to show me of his boyhood. He told he was leaving the airport because the town of Choteau said he could no longer be there. I have been flying now for 24yrs since my retirement in the late ‘90’s.
