FBO building and interior are very nice. The fuel pumps are self serve and convenient. Runway is wide and well maintained. I read another comment about bringing your own tie downs. I didn't realize it meant that you have to bring physical ground anchors for your aircraft. You need to park in the grass and the ground is very bumpy and soft. You need to bring your own ground anchors and tie down straps. When I was there, the grass was taller than I would have expected. -Cirrus SR22

Interesting airport. There is not much of an FBO. You park on the grass and depart when you leave. The self serve fuel is convenient. There is a flight school in the FBO building and the instructors there are friendly. Be sure to take tie downs if you are planning overnight or call ahead. People are friendly and helpful. Fore flight has Chicago Center for IFR clearance. When I called them, they provided the Cedar Rapids approach telephone number. Everything worked out well.
