I cannot say enough good things about this place, the staff, and Nick who runs the place and the flight school. The first time I stopped I was diving in under some really bad weather and needed a port in which to weather the storm, so to speak and they simply treated me like gold, to say the least. I spent several hours hanging out there, swapping stories and was made to feel at home and very welcome. I have since made Bluffton Flying Service Co / FBO one of my “Green Circles” (I circle all my favorite FBO’s in green on my foreflight maps, that I use for a break, fuel stops, overnights when I need a place to wait for the sun to rise and so on..). The folks are great, and they go out of their way to make you feel more than just welcome, while you visit. And there is a little hotel/motel, literally across the street which makes it a perfect solution for an after hours / need a place to hide … until the sun comes up, when it’s the middle of the night and the world is shut down!
