What an absolutely fantastic group of people at Sheldon Air Service! My wife and I (and our dog) stopped in on Sunday afternoon (6/9/24) with our Mooney. Transient parking was full and initially SAS didn't have parking, but they moved some things around and found us a spot. They even drove us into town to the campground, and offered a backup option if no sites were available. Just very friendly and accommodating people, we felt very welcomed in Talkeetna!

Self service only during open hours (8-5). No credit card machine, so payment must be made in the office. The line crew are very nice and will assist with setting up the fuel hose (it is tricky to pull out and retract), but they let you handle the dispensing.

I spent a couple of days in Talkeetna. Dave from Sheldon Air Service Talke^etna is fantastic! He went out of his way to make sure my wife and I as well as our 172 were taken care of during our stay. For a small fee he was nice enough to allow us to park next to his hanger and plug in our Tanis heater overnight. He was also nice enough to give us a ride to the cabin that we were staying at about 2 miles away. When it was time to depart he gave great advice and helped me route out my flight up to Denali and back. I can’t say enough good things about Dave. Sheldon air service has been the go to place for me a couple of times for my trips in Talkeetna and I would recommend them to anyone!
